Job Overview

The Sr. Manager – SRM, Systems and FSDS is responsible for maintaining the Hazard Management System and Flight Safety Documentation system in accordance with ICAO Annexures, Civil Aviation Requirements and other regulatory requirements affecting operations of TATA SIA Airlines Limited. Additionally, this position is responsible for management of IT systems and safety software of Safety Division. This position reports directly to the DGM- Safety Management System (SMS) & Investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Safety Manager in establishing and maintaining a hazard management system, including arrangements for identifying, reporting, tracking and correcting safety issues and for the initiation of preventive action where necessary
  • Coordinate with operational divisions and external stakeholders for timely processing of hazard reports
  • Monitor compliance with, and the adequacy of, safety risk management procedures based on regulatory requirements, IOSA requirements and Company requirements
  • Establishing a reporting system which provides for a timely and free flow of safety-related information
  • Monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks as listed in the safety action plan
  • Undertake on-going review of safety risk management system to evaluate effectiveness in ensuring that improvements are made where required
  • To assist DGM- SMS & Investigations to organize Safety Management review with Sr. Management
  • Lead the overall coordination of controlled documentation within TSAL (i.e., Manuals, Forms, Documents and Publication) to ensure standardization
  • Ensure development and maintenance of the Flight Safety Documentation System Manual
  • Coordinate with IT for management of all IT systems and software used specifically for Safety Division
  • Any other duty as assigned by the Chief of Flight Safety / Deputy Chief of Flight Safety

Work Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of working experience preferably in any scheduled airline out of which minimum 2 years in flight safety department


  • Graduate from a recognized University
