Executive - Fleet Technical Support

Job Overview

The Fleet Ops Technical department at Vistara provides support for technical documentation and operational data related to aircraft performance and EFB.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist EFB team by developing software codes (in-house as well as through liaising with external vendors) to augment Flight Operations functions
• Hardware and software integration, testing of systems for FOT
• Support FOT team in EFB project for iPad MDM management, implementation and routine monitoring
• Assist FOT in data entry in worksheets
• To help maintain Content / Document Management System for all technical manuals handled by the FOT department
• Develop algorithms for analysis of flight operations data for aircraft performance monitoring, reporting trends and generation of fuel management advisories
• MEL customizations, review and update of MEL for all VTI fleets
• Preparing and coordinating for DGCA CAR / Circular Compliance requirements
• Assist in all DGCA approvals – in particular those related to Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) approval
• Assist in creation and editing of FOT manual using Frame maker and FODM
• Assist in monitoring technical publications relating to Vistara’s Fleet ensuring that Operational Manuals are updated in a timely manner to reflect the Manufacturer’s source data and any changes in the aircraft configuration/modification status
• Technical writing - notifying crew of pertinent changes in policies, procedures or instructions/information through the timely issue of FSI, INTAMS, TCC, TB
• Any other duties assigned by the Reporting Manager / Chief Pilot- Technical / VP-OPS

• Ability to define and document technical processes as required
• Ability to manage multiple projects & deadlines
• Good in collaborating with different stakeholders and drive the common agendas
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Advance knowledge in excel is a must
• Excellent Project Management tools/ Adobe pdf/xml editor & Frame Maker is an added advantage

Work Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in Flight Operations or exposure to Flight Operations documentation is desirable

Qualification

• Graduate (or equivalent) from a recognized university
