Job Overview

Instructor will be responsible for day-to-day functioning of various training courses run by training department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all approved courses are delivered as per the standard and content at the required level ofknowledge, as specified in MTOE/DGCA CAR 66/EASA Part 66/ CAR 147/EASA Part 147
  • Prepare notes, diagrams, presentations, hand out etc. for the relevant subjects
  • Update training notes about changes in AMM, CMM, SBs, ADs and other technical information
  • Responsible for keeping self-updated with changes in curriculum based on manufacturer’s feedback/ internalpolicy / DGCA /EASA requirement
  • Maintain a high level of discipline and punctuality amongst course participants and to ensure that the rulesand regulations of the Engineering Training Organization are properly communicated and always adhered
  • Be responsible for gaining adequate knowledge on aircraft maintenance
  • Ensure that all training aids are correctly utilized and returned after use
  • Revise or revamp course notes on course package assigned
  • Conduct aircraft practical training
  • Conduct aircraft visits / simulator training

  • Prepare “End of Course” (including attendance and course feedback) reports as required by Training Manager
  • Responsible to collect the training feedback from the participants, analyses and forward the recommendationto Training Manager
  • Responsible to update Training manager about any discrepancy in the training facility, course material,training notes etc.
  • Should be willing to travel to different places in order to provide training
  • A team player who should work in line with the Training Manager for preparation of internal, external audits.Audit findings should be addressed and closed in timely manner
  • He/She should be able to handle the assessment by surveyor (i.e. EASA/DGCA/IN-HOUSE) as per MTOE andregulations requirements
  • Any other job assigned by HOD and/or Training Manager

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Should possess strong computer skills (MS office applications, especially MS PowerPoint)
  • Should be able to deliver training
  • Strong Management skillset for resolving operational challenges & conflicts
  • Good interpersonal, communication and administration skills

Work Experience

  • Should have minimum of 2 years’ experience in aviation industry, specifically in the field of instruction and aircraft maintenance or
  • Should have minimum of 5 years’ experience in aviation industry and have undergone Instructional technique course

Qualification

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineering license holder endorsed with the type relevant to the Airbus A320 (IAEV2500, CFM LEAP 1A) / Boeing 737-800 / Boeing 787-9 (GEnX); OR
  • Previously been approved as type training instructor
