Manager - UI/UX

Job Overview

The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. Experience with design software and wireframe tools is required. Portfolio of professional design project that includes work with web/mobile applications will an added advantage, successful candidate will work on creating a functional and appealing feature that will address our requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets etc.
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites & mobile app function and look like
• Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches, and tables)
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
• Understand product specifications and user psychology
• Create personas through user research and data
• Conducting user research and testing
• Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends

Skills & Attributes

• Portfolio of design projects
• Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and In Vision, Balsamiq etc.)
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Sketch etc.
• Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus
• Problem-solving aptitude & Analytical mind

Work Experience

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role

Qualification

• Graduate from a recognized university
