Job Overview

The candidate is expected to handle short term schedule management and help in slot coordination activities at Vistara.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement Vistara network on basis of route profitability/feasibility, aircraft availability and slot availability at all domestic and international sectors to achieve strategic goals of the airline.
  • On time filing, follow up and securing of required slots at all planned stations to optimize Vistara schedule.
  • Full fledged participation in domestic and international slot coordination discussion to secure best available slots for efficient utilization of the aircraft and meeting strategic requirements of the airline.
  • Plan, prepare and secure necessary approvals for basing aircraft at various domestic airports.
  • Active participation in preparation and finalisation of annual/long term budget
  • Compiling and timely presentation of competition data, industry information to management
  • Liaison with airports, slot coordinators, regulators, and other internal/external stakeholders for timely implementation of approved route network.
  • Compile and maintain airline slot pool profile and historical slot database.
  • Knowledge of codeshare and interline business to support schedule filing requirements.
  • Design, generate and circulate Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports related to Network planning activities
  • To keep all required documents up-to date for submission to authorities.


Skills & Attributes

  • Knowledge of IATA SSIM and WSG knowledge
  • Working knowledge of SABRE scheduling system
  • Excellent written and Negotiation skills. Interpersonal skills to manage Airports and regulatory officials is pre-requisite.
  • Proficiency in advanced excel, MS word, MS ppt, and other MS office skills
  • Must be a strategic and analytical thinker.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in slot coordination and scheduling
  • Work experience with FSC is desired


  • Graduate/ Postgraduate from a recognized university


  • Must be at a level Sr. Executive (1B) or one level lower than the position
  • Minimum tenure in the current role – 18 Months as on date and must have attained minimum performance rating of GP3 in the last appraisal
  • Must be “confirmed’’ in service
