Sr. Technical Architect

Job Overview

A certified Sr. Technical Architect with hands on experience in designing and building reliable, scalable, secure applications and enterprise solutions in cloud and hybrid platforms, primarily for commercial division in e commerce and data analytics space.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business, functional and technical requirements to Identify, conceptualize & design technology solutions and blueprints for delivery
• Review solutions and architectures provided by third party service providers to ensure alignment with Vistara’s digital transformation strategy
• Build proof of concepts/MVPs by defining scope and deliverables
• Build multiple enterprise-wide frameworks, platforms & accelerators to define unified implementation approaches, improve productivity and bring consistencies across the engineering teams
• Facilitate build vs buy decision making with the help of data points, established facts and assumptions
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications and systems, identify, and correct bottlenecks and prevent bugs early in the lifecycle by participating in code reviews, ensuring coding standards and best practices, including DevSecOps
• Champion Lean-Agile practices and mindsets by encouraging and supporting enterprise Agile maturity progression
• Maintain accurate and complete technical architectural documents
• Organize and conduct Architecture & Tech Design workshops, Facilitate solution demos & help with solution adoption
• Drive Digital transformation strategy, for commercial division by identifying opportunities for digitization, digitalization and implementing appropriate solutions

Skills & Attributes

• Architecture Styles, Design Principles, Design Patterns and Performance tuning methodologies for mission critical customer facing systems.
• Java/J2EE development technologies and architectures, Spring Framework, AWS, Aurora DB, OpenShift, Jboss DataGrid and Devops tools (SonarQube, Jenkins, bigbucket, JIRA etc.)
• DBMS & SQL, Big data (Hadoop, Python, Scala etc), NoSQL databases and related technologies
• Middleware technologies, APIs and microservices (SOAP, REST, Jason & XML formats)
• Adobe tool set such as Adobe Audience Manager, Analytics, Target, Campaign, and AEM
• Modern cross platform frameworks such as React-Native, flutter and hybrid.
• Android SDK, Android Studio, Android UI design principles, patterns, and performance profiling tools, mobile app security, mobile database technologies
• UX design principles, strategies, ABCD testing and improvisation.
• Cloud & Dev Ops competencies like Docker Engine, Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure), Application Monitoring, Log Management, continuous integration, Delivery & performance improvement
• Non-functional requirements like Scalability, Availability, Redundancy, Reliability, Supportability etc.

Work Experience

• 15+ years of experience in programming, applications development, Dev Ops Engineering, Middleware Technologies & Cloud-Based solutions, out of which 3 to 5 years of experience as Technical Architect
• Expertise in driving large scale product design and development with mission critical enterprise level applications
• Airline/GDS/PSS experience is mandatory, preferably on reservation systems and e commerce
• Experience in identifying and managing vendors, including negotiation skills
• Experience in System architecture and solution design using industry standard methodologies such as TOGAF, Design thinking etc.
• Experience in enabling data platform modernization, developing Reporting and Analytical solutions

Qualification

• B.Tech. or MCA. Certification in Data Architecture, Data Science
