Asst. Manager - IT (Server)

Job Overview

Maintenance and administration of WINTEL, UNIX/LINUX servers and VMware environment 

Key Responsibilities

• Administration of Windows 2008/ 2012/ 2016 and 2019 Servers
• Experience of VMWare virtualization and management of ESXi 5.x, 6.x hypervisor, vCenter
• Hands-on experience with vSphere systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, Vcenter, and storage migrations
• Deploy Virtual Machines and use Clones, Snapshots, and templates
• Must have knowledge on VMware Virtual Networks, VMware Virtual Switches and Port Groups
• Good Knowledge on vSphere, Thin provisioning and Think Provisioning
• Good knowledge on core Active Directory, FSMO roles, AD Disaster Recovery
• Managing OU, Sites and Services, User Groups, Map Drive policies, GPO and GPP Management
• Troubleshooting AD Replication issues. Basic knowledge of ADLDS
• Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and Printer Management. - Working on User Profiles, DFSR & DFS Namespace.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge Time issues (NTP). - AD Manager, Audit plus and PowerShell skills would be added advantage
• Knowledge of data storage protocols including CIFS, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, and NFS is preferred
• Analysing and debugging System logs / Memory Dumps / Cluster logs
• Troubleshooting experience on Windows and Cloud platform
• Backup, Network and Storage design and implementation
• Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX environment and deployment
• Familiarity with Fundamentals of Linux scripting languages
• Good understanding of cloud environment
• Cisco fabric infrastructures, and replication technologies for data recovery experience.
• Work Closely with IT Vendor Governance team to ensure partner is delivering services as agreed (SLA Management, Resource Management)
• Sound knowledge of ITIL processes - Incident Problem and Change

Work Experience

• 4-8 years of experience in Windows and VMWare Administration

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject
• ITIL Version 3 or 4 foundation Certified
• Microsoft Windows and VMWare certification added advantage
