Key Responsibilities


Scheduling and operations

  • Supervising team in obtaining slot approvals and liaison with airport and regulators
  • Monitor route performance in terms of OTP and actual versus planned block times
  • Analyze OTP data and recommend changes in schedule to improve operation efficiency
  • Plan for, analyze and evaluate impact on schedule changes due to various planned and unplanned events etc
  • Monitor Vistara and OAL slot utilization
  • Liaison with other UK operational departments to ensure smooth ad-hoc and seasonal schedule changes


Route planning & analysis

  • Development of network and route plans with robust analysis and planning
  • Oversee development of various planning documents for the organization eg: operating plans, seasonal filing etc
  • Short and long-term planning and development of aircraft deployment and operating plans

Alliances and airline partnerships

  • Handling interline & codeshare IROPS and GDS testing for Codeshare setup
  • Implementation of IATCI (Inter Airline Through Check-In)
  • Reviewing flight disruption agreements & other traffic agreements
  • Prospecting new airline partners
  • Maintaining relationship with all airline partners and development of strategies of cooperation and partnerships at various levels
  • Negotiations with partners on SPAs, interline pricing and other related aspects

Skills & Attributes

  • Managing a diverse team of high performers
  • Coordination with various departments across the company, from commercial to operations to support (finance, HR, legal etc).
  • Negotiation skills and high level of commercial acumen to gauge opportunities and threats quickly
  • Good command over data analysis and management support and analysis tools
  • Must be a strategic and analytical thinker

Work Experience

  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience. Specific focus in leading network planning and analysis teams in an airline would be an added advantage
