Asst. Manager - Customs

Job Overview

To assist in managing all travel aspects of Vistara Employees, Crew at the corporate office and all Airports. Help manage Hotel bookings, Visa processing for operating / training crew and for other employees. This role also requires understanding of MIS/ invoice checking and processing and thorough knowledge of Travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling all import Shipment
• Taking care of custom clearance
• Coordinate with CHA & Forwarder for shipment status
• Follow up for all in transit shipment with Forwarder
• Managing Account for all Vendors
• Managing & calculate custom duty as per custom tariff
• Duty Payment
• Preparing MIS reports daily basis for all clear shipment
• Manages and coordinates customs clearance activities in an efficient and cost effective manner
• Ensures compliance with local and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products being shipped
• Implements policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operation
• Responsible for meeting key performance indicators
• Supervising Import & Export Customs operations
• Able to coordinate with Customs broker on day to day operations
• Verification of Import BOE’s & Export Shipping bill’s prior to filing with Customs
• Understanding of Classification, and customs valuation
• Should be well versed and having experience on Customs regulations and procedure
• Having knowledge of tax accounting

Skills & Attributes

• Considerable knowledge of all regulatory aspects related to importing
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications
• Financial skills / budgeting experience

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of working experience

Qualification

• Graduate from a recognized university
