Job Overview

The individual will be responsible for managing daily activities related to IFE/IFC on the fleet. He/She should be able to support Sr Manager Avionics in maintaining PANASONIC IFE and Connectivity on A321 (IFE system - eX1) and B787 (IFE system - eX3) in optimum conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Frame routine maintenance checks to ensure highest IFEC serviceability standards
  • Review daily defect reports for defects on IFE/IFC and track the work performed
  • Analyze BITE, Repair data & Line Maintenance records to identify areas of concern and provide recommendations to improve overall reliability
  • required to support Line Maintenance team in carrying out Troubleshooting of complex defect rectification, wiring checks
  •  Ensure timely update of content and software loading
  • Liaise with OEM including Panasonic, Airbus, Boeing to discuss and resolve technical issues
  •  Responsible for Pre-loading LRUs for Software + Content
  • Responsible for providing regular technical performance reports to Management
  • Focus on increasing guest satisfaction with IFEC services
  • Conduct benchmarking studies and analysis on technical performances of competitors with similar IFEC configurations and recommend best practices to improve performance of fleet
  • Associate in Quality checks of software (Application Testing Protocols (ATP) at current vendors before software releases
  • Monitoring and managing SLAs of IFEC vendors and OEMs on operational fleet
  • Coordinate with Engineering Procurement for availability of IFEC components/parts/spares
  • Any other task as assigned by the Manager

Skills & Attributes

  • Good Knowledge of electrical/electronic and digital networks.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good standard of computer literacy (MS office applications). Linux OS will be advantage.
  • System knowledge – AMOS will be preferred

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in maintenance with minimum 2 years in IFE/IFC Line/Base Maintenance or similar experience with OEM.

Qualification

  • Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical engineering or 3 years DGCA approved course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
