Job Overview

The overarching aim is to provide accurate reporting by the Company and the narrative behind figures. Key to success is continuing to build on the partnerships within Finance and with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Functional Owner and is accountable for Trial Balance reviews and accurate month end reporting in compliance with group reporting policies and procedures
  • Ensuring the accuracy and fair representation of the Company’s financial statements (including sign-off of monthly submission, statutory statements) and the underlying processes that supports the generation of the Company’s financial statements
  • Maintaining a robust financial control environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal control requirements
  • Interact with FC team and agree upon the various accounting plan related to various month end close adjustments related to stocks, cash, inter-company transactions, etc.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Business Finance teams and other risk and control functions outside of Finance
  • Continuously improving the quality and efficiency of financial accounting activity, ensuring that fit-for-purpose standard operating procedures are in place and evolve as business needs change
  • Problem solving: Agrees a clear course of action in non-routine issues without support. Involves all related parties to resolve cross-functional issues
  • Effective issue resolution and appropriate escalation process in place and working
  • Participate in the relevant Group Finance calls to ensure smooth execution of the process
  • Support internal / external audit
  • Work with key stakeholders in Finance team, business and regulatory affairs and support projects and relevant updates to the database as a result of regulatory initiatives/ changes
  • Ensure smooth month end close as per reporting guidelines
  • Ensure compliance and adherence with all the relevant IFC controls applicable to the financial reporting team

  • Drive continuous improvement and automation agenda to improve service efficiency and maximise customer satisfaction
  • Ensure high engagement - Train, coach, motivate and develop skills of the team
  • Initiate the development of the monthly and quarterly Leadership Team reporting package, Board financial reports, and other financial presentations for review by the Management
  • Collaborates with the other departments to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Advising team regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
  • Responds to inquiries from the stakeholders/other departments
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • To ensure all our accounting transactions comply with the law, gather and monitor financial data. Monitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance
  • Maintain the general ledger group, Cost Center, Chart of Account, Fund Center etc.
  • Liaoning with Statutory auditors and Internal auditors to resolve audit query
  • Well versed with AS-116 Accounting
  • Meeting the deadlines for publishing Financials to the Senior Management
  • Timeliness in resolving queries from Tax Authorities; Audit queries
  • Identifying & Claiming Tax rebates, benefits and/or Incentives

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong IT skills covering MS Office systems, tax systems
  • Excellent communication – verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have sound knowledge of the Accounting Standards
  • SAP knowledge is must


Work Experience

  • 7-10 years’ experience in Financial Reporting
